Did you think I’d forgotten how to write newsletters!!!
Welcome to May’s newsletter,
Firstly, its our 3rd birthday this week so a huge thank you from me for supporting me over the last three years, I couldn’t do it all without you so happy 3rd anniversary everyone.
So are we all ready for this weekend, I’m talking about the Royal Wedding, or the FA Cup Final I’m talking about the Diabetes UK Cymru Volunteer Conference at the Village Hotel, (J32 M4). As always this is going to be a great event and I am really looking forward to attending.
So what’s going to be happening over the next few months, this month, I’m going to be talking about the series of Pocket Medic Videos which are part of the information prescriptions, they are available for Pre-diabetes, Type 1, type 2 and Gestational Diabetes, all are really interesting and even if you are not one of the categories they are all an interesting watch.
Next meeting in June (21st) We have Newport Mind coming to talk about Depression and living with a lifelong condition including experiencing Diabetic Burnout, we all think we can cope and mostly we do but now and again we just need a little hand up and here is where we find out where to look for that hand up so I hope you will be able to join us for the evening.
July’s meeting with be our AGM meeting. Among the agenda this year will be how to improve attendance and how we can better promote the group, and ideas for raising awareness and planning events.
I hope to see you at the group meeting this week but also at the volunteer conference at the weekend.
Have a great week everyone
